Hi, I’m Kimmie, the creator of HFpEFShop.store! I’m so glad you’re here, supporting a mission that’s incredibly close to my heart—literally and figuratively.

I’m a 44-year-old graphic and web designer with decades of experience turning creativity into a tool for connection and advocacy. I live with several chronic illnesses and two genetic mutations (SMAD4 and POLD1), which significantly impact my health and life. Despite these challenges, I believe in staying strong, sharing hope, and fostering a supportive community for others walking similar paths.

Over the years, I’ve faced a variety of health issues, from a total gastrectomy to ongoing struggles with severe nausea and vomiting. But one of the most life-changing aspects of my health journey has been my recent heart diagnoses, including Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF), Microvascular Dysfunction and a heart murmur. These conditions have been both physically and emotionally overwhelming, but they’ve also fueled my determination to raise awareness and advocate for those facing similar challenges.

HFpEF, in particular, has taught me the importance of taking each day as it comes and cherishing every moment. It’s a form of heart failure that doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves, which is why I created HFpEFShop.store—to bring visibility, understanding, and hope to those living with it.

This shop is more than a place to find t-shirts; it’s a labor of love. Every design reflects a part of my story or the stories of others in the HFpEF and chronic illness community. It’s my way of turning struggle into something positive and creating a space where everyone affected by HFpEF feels seen, supported, and empowered.
